North American Tulipwood / Poplar
Ideal for Interior Use
A moderately lightweight temperate hardwood with a low shock resistance.
Used for interior joinery, panelling, furniture and mouldings, it is also increasingly used as an alternative to Ramin, Obeche and Rubberwood.
Its colour ranges from white to pale olive green to brown, and may be streaked with steel-blue. Relatively strong, it takes nails without tending to split, glues well, can be stained polished or painted, and holds hard enamel finishes excellently.
DISCLAIMER Timber is a natural product and may differ from the sample seen in colour and figure. Certain species of timber will contain a small percentage of sap and knots in line with international grading standards.
